Class of 2026 four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley shared on social media Sunday that he has narrowed his choices down to three schools, with Florida State not making the cut, despite strong interest from the top-10 quarterback prospect heading into the next season.
Bentley, a native of Celina, Texas, received an offer from Florida State in January 2025 and visited the campus during the school’s annual legacy weekend in March. Earlier in the month, he toured LSU and FSU before traveling to Athens, Georgia, for a visit with the Bulldogs.
Since the end of March, Bentley has scheduled official visits for the fall with Oklahoma, Georgia, and LSU, as reported by On3.com’s recruiting analyst Hayes Fawcett. His official visit dates are:
- Georgia: June 6-8
- Oklahoma: June 13-15
- LSU: June 20-22
Currently, Florida State holds the No. 14 spot in the recruiting rankings with eight commitments but still has not secured a quarterback for the Class of 2026. Bentley was the only quarterback expected to visit during Legacy weekend. However, FSU has extended offers to five-star quarterback Keisean Henderson and four-star quarterback Landon Duckworth this spring as they continue their search for a signal caller in #Tribe26.
While Florida State did bring in true freshman Kevin Sperry for the 2025 class, who has received praise during spring camp, they will also have redshirt sophomore Brock Glenn and senior Thomas Castellanos this fall.
