The Auburn Tigers are still seeking experienced wide receivers after their successful 2024 season with KeAndre Lambert-Smith. According to ESPN’s Max Olsen, Georgia Tech’s Eric Singleton Jr. is considering a transfer to Auburn and will visit the school soon. Singleton’s potential move is a clear indication that Auburn is serious about utilizing the Transfer Portal, and he could demand a substantial NIL deal
Singleton, who is also considering visits to Ole Miss and Georgia, would be a valuable addition to Auburn’s offense, joining players like Cam Coleman, Malcolm Simmons, and Perry Thompson. His arrival would help offset the loss of Lambert-Smith to graduation and improve the Tigers’ passing attack, which needs more consistency.
However, Auburn will face stiff competition to secure Singleton’s commitment, with schools like Ole Miss, Georgia, and other major programs likely offering significant NIL deals. Coaches from teams such as Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, and Florida State could also pursue him.
Known for his big-play ability, Singleton has been a constant threat on the field. In 2024, he totaled 56 receptions for 754 yards, averaging 13.5 yards per catch, and scored three touchdowns. His ability to make plays down the field is highlighted by seven catches of 20 or more yards. His best game came against North Carolina State, where he recorded 5 catches for 106 yards. Singleton’s recruitment could be crucial to Auburn’s success in 2025.
