Taylor Swift has developed connections with several members of the Kansas City Chiefs through her relationship with tight end Travis Kelce. One recent example was when she gifted a personalized present to Chiefs coach Dave Merritt.
Swift has become a beloved figure in the Chiefs’ locker room, particularly known for her thoughtful baking. After the team’s win against the Carolina Panthers, Merritt shared his surprise at receiving homemade “victory Pop-Tarts” from Swift. While excited, Merritt was playfully deflated when his wife revealed that Swift had been baking for various team members all season. Despite not being the only recipient, Merritt appreciated the gesture, calling Swift a “sweet young woman.”
Baking has become a tradition within the Chiefs organization. Earlier in the season, head coach Andy Reid mentioned that Swift made homemade Pop-Tarts for the offensive linemen, joking about his lack of a batch. This thoughtful act has helped Swift become a cherished part of the team.
Swift’s personalized gift to Merritt has gone viral after he posted about it on social media. In addition to the Pop-Tarts, Swift has also made cinnamon rolls for Kelce, further strengthening her bond with the team. As Swift continues her Eras Tour, she remains a strong supporter of the Chiefs, adding extra warmth and encouragement to their season.
