Arizona Cardinals Offensive Tackle Jonah Williams Likely to Return Against Seahawks
Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Jonah Williams is expected to play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The 6-foot-5 tackle, who hails from Alabama, has been sidelined since the team’s Week 1 matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve.
Williams was activated off the injured reserve list on Wednesday and has been practicing this week, though he is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after being limited in practice.
Depth on the Offensive Line
In Williams’ absence, veteran tackle Kelvin Beachum has filled in and started eight games. Beachum did miss one game due to a hamstring injury, but he has stepped up in Williams’ absence to provide stability on the line.
Other Injury Updates
Along with Williams’ status, the Cardinals are also dealing with other injury concerns. Rookie defensive lineman Darius Robinson is listed as questionable for the Seahawks game. Additionally, safety Jalen Thompson has been ruled out for Sunday due to an ankle injury, which could impact Arizona’s defensive backfield.
As the Cardinals look to extend their lead in the NFC West, Williams’ potential return to the lineup will provide a much-needed boost to their offensive line against the Seahawks’ pass rush.
