Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride delivered one of the most powerful runs of Week 10, earning praise from Kyle Brandt for his impressive performance. On the latest episode of *Angry Runs* on *Good Morning Football* — a segment celebrating the most physical runs of the week — McBride was spotlighted for shrugging off a tackle by New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner to pick up a first down during the Cardinals’ 31-6 victory.
In the second quarter, on a third-and-7 play, quarterback Kyler Murray found McBride over the middle, but Gardner quickly brought him down. Not only did McBride stay on his feet, but he spun Gardner to the ground and powered forward for the first down. As if that weren’t enough, McBride then hurdled a second defender to extend the play.
Brandt compared McBride’s anger-fueled run to the frustration of receiving an unwanted sauce with your meal, saying, “You ever get more mad than when someone gives you sauce you don’t want? I ordered no sauce, and it comes with sauce—now you have to scrape it off, completely ruining the burger. Pisses me off, pisses Trey McBride off.”
The play took place along the Cardinals’ sideline, and Brandt also gave a shout-out to assistant offensive line coach Chris Cook, who joined in celebrating the tough run with McBride.
Following the play, the Cardinals used that momentum to march down the field and score a touchdown, taking control of the game.
Unfortunately for McBride, the *Angry Runs* scepter for Week 10 went to Buffalo Bills running back James Cook for his impressive tackle-breaking run against the Indianapolis Colts. McBride will now have the bye week to recover and refocus, with plans to take another shot at the *Angry Runs* title in Week 12 when the Cardinals face the Seattle Seahawks.
