JuJu Watkins is set for her second season with the USC Trojans after a standout freshman year in 2023-24. At Big Ten Media Days, she reaffirmed her status as a top player in college basketball.
In a CBS Sports interview, Watkins was asked who she’d want taking the final shot in a clutch moment. She chose LeBron James over other stars like James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Kobe Bryant, saying, “I’m just going to say LeBron.”
Watkins finished her freshman season as the NCAA’s second-highest scorer, averaging 27.1 points per game, just behind Iowa’s Caitlin Clark. She also set the USC scoring record with 51 points against Stanford on February 2.
LeBron James is entering his 22nd NBA season, and his son Bronny, now a rookie for the Lakers, joined USC’s men’s team with Watkins.
