CANDLER COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – Two people died in a crash on Highway 46 in Candler County on Wednesday.
According to Georgia State Patrol, troopers were dispatched to a crash on Highway 46 at St. Matthew Church Road at about 4:20 p.m.
GSP says a Chevrolet Silverado was driving west in the eastbound lane on Highway 46. The Silverado hit the front of Chevrolet Impala who was driving east in the eastbound lane.
The driver and passenger of the Impala died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the Silverado was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.
The Georgia State Patrols Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) are investigating the crash.
