After a tough loss to North Carolina Central, the North Carolina A&T Aggies are turning their attention to their next challenge: a rivalry matchup against South Carolina State, now coached by Chennis Berry.
Head Coach Vincent Brown emphasized the importance of unity in overcoming adversity, stating, “If we let the adversity impact us, it’s going to be a long 2024.” Historically, SC State leads the series 32-14, but the Aggies have won the last seven encounters, including a 41-27 victory in 2022.
This will mark Brown’s first matchup against SC State as head coach, and he takes full responsibility for the previous loss. With starting quarterback Kevin White injured, backup Justin Fomby will take the reins. The Aggies currently struggle in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
On the other side, SC State is coming off a bye after a loss to Georgia Southern, but Coach Berry expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the Aggies. Both teams are looking to bounce back in what promises to be an intense rivalry showdown this Saturday.
