Newcomers caught attention, especially catcher Jaxson West, who has gained nearly 25 pounds and showcased stronger hitting. He’s already stepping into a leadership role among the catchers. Drew Faurot is adjusting his batting mechanics to improve consistency, while blue-chip freshmen Hunter Carns and Myles Bailey demonstrated impressive power during batting practice.
JUCO transfers B, Chase Williams, and Carter McCulley also made an impact. Williams showcased his speed with impressive defensive plays, while Plain and McCulley displayed strong hitting skills. Texas Tech transfer Gage Harrelson impressed with his outfield prowess, making a spectacular catch during practice.
