Christian Koloko’s NBA future was put on hold in early 2024 due to a serious health condition. The forward is now back in the league.
According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Koloko has agreed on a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, before he can officially step on the court, Koloko first has to receive clearance from the NBA’s Fitness-to-Play Panel. The 24-year-old was suffering from a blood clot issue, which prevented him from fully playing.
In his rookie season in 2022-23, Koloko averaged 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game for the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors waived the player in January 2024 due to the medical issue and uncertainty of his future basketball career.
