The Marlins’ acquisition of one of the Orioles’ premier infield prospects at the trade deadline appeared to have angered a large portion of the fan base. However, given how heavily stacked the potential capital market was in Baltimore, Mike Elias and colleagues felt comfortable taking this risk.
