During the 2024-25 NBA season, the Miami Heat will honor Dwyane Wade with a statue outside the Kaseya Center. The unveiling of the statue is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, October 27, and will be a major event, featuring a performance by local rapper Rick Ross.
The Heat will celebrate Dwyane Wade Statue Night during their home game against the Detroit Pistons on October 28. Wade will be present for the game and will address the crowd at halftime. The event will also include video tributes highlighting his legendary career.
The bronze statue was created by Omri Amrany and Oscar Leon of Rotblatt Amrany Studio, the same artists behind the “Michael Jordan Spirit” statue in Chicago, the “Black Mamba” statue honoring Kobe Bryant, and the “Kobe and Gianna Bryant Memorial Statue.”
Wade, a 13-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA champion, spent the majority of his career with the Miami Heat. After playing 13 seasons with the team, he had brief stints with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers before returning to Miami for the final season of his career in 2018-19.
This statue will be the first of its kind for the Heat franchise, marking a significant recognition of Wade’s impact on the team and the Miami sports community.
