Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula have withdrawn from the Korea Open, scheduled for September 16-22, 2024. Rybakina, dealing with recent illness and injury, will delay her return until the Asian hard court season and has also parted ways with her coach, Stefano Vukov. Pegula, who reached the 2024 US Open final, will also miss the event.
Amanda Anisimova, previously not listed, has joined the draw after posting from Seoul. Viktoriya Tomova is now in the field due to Rybakina’s withdrawal. Iga Swiatek will headline the tournament, alongside other top 20 players like Daria Kasatkina, Emma Navarro, Liudmila Samsonova, Diana Shnaider, and Marta Kostyuk. Main-draw entrants also include Karolina Pliskova, Katie Boulter, and Ajla Tomljanovic. Anastasia Potapova’s recent withdrawal has benefited Shuai Zhang and Elina Avanesyan.
