Tennessee, ranked seventh, let up an average of 6.5 points per game while averaging 60 points in its first two games. One week after suffering a defeat to FCS program Saint Francis (Pa.), Kent State, currently without a win, cannot find solace in that fact when it takes on the Volunteers in Knoxville. Last weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tennessee (2-0) defeated then-No. 24 North Carolina State 51-10 after defeating Chattanooga 69-3 in their first game. The Volunteers are scoring 589 yards and giving up 185 per contest. There have only been four successful third-down conversions by the opposition. After the Golden Flashes lost to the Red Flash 23–17, Tennessee must figure out how to treat Kent State with respect. “You can review the results from all around America at any time.”
