Last month, we published the first part of our annual NBA offseason survey, which analyzed the best, worst, and most surprising moves of the summer, as well as the effects of the league’s new roster-building rules.
Now, we’re unveiling predictions from 18 NBA coaches, scouts, and executives for the 2024-25 season and beyond.
Will Nikola Jokic secure his fourth MVP award in five seasons? Can the Boston Celtics become the first team since the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors to win consecutive titles? Which rookie from the 2024 draft class is poised to become a star?
Additionally, we explore which players and teams did not receive any votes. Follow our NBA offseason survey for insights into the upcoming 2024-25 season.

– Win-loss records for Western Conference teams
– Conference and NBA Finals champions
Nikola Jokic received 15 votes
Luka Doncic received 2 votes
Anthony Edwards received 1 vote
Jokic is the clear favorite in this survey for the second consecutive year, reflecting his recent third MVP award in four seasons. Doncic’s inclusion is expected, given his leading role in scoring with 33.9 points per game and guiding the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA Finals.
The more surprising element is that Edwards was the only other player, alongside Doncic, to receive a vote. The West scout who voted for Edwards commented, “It’s his time.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo, the two-time MVP and former sole recipient of a vote in this survey over the past four years, no longer received votes after the Bucks’ early playoff exit for the second consecutive year. Antetokounmpo missed Milwaukee’s 2024 playoff series against the Indiana Pacers due to a calf strain.
