Caitlin Clark Receives Custom Diamond Chain from Teammate Erica Wheeler’s Jeweler, Showcasing Her Star Status
WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark continues to make headlines, not only for her on-court performances but also for a stunning piece of custom jewelry she recently received.
The Indiana Fever guard was gifted a unique, diamond-studded chain from her teammate Erica Wheeler. Wheeler enlisted her jeweler, Christian Johnston’s GLD Shop, to create the 22-inch necklace for Clark, adding a personalized touch to commemorate her rookie season.
The GLD Shop, known for its collaborations with sports icons like Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant, crafted a piece that features Clark’s jersey number, making it a standout accessory. Wheeler herself sports a similar pendant displaying her own No. 17, also designed by the Miami-based jeweler.
Wheeler and Clark’s camaraderie was evident in a video previously shared by Wheeler, where they walked side by side in their Fever jerseys. Wheeler, flashing her No. 17 necklace, playfully prompted, “GLD, GLD, what y’all gonna do?” To which Clark responded with a smile, “There’s only one thing to do. Give me the chain.”
The result was an eye-catching 12-karat necklace, adorned with 1,000 hand-set diamonds. Clark expressed her excitement in a video posted by GLD Shop, calling the chain “pretty sick” and giving a shoutout to the jeweler for the custom piece.

Since the WNBA resumed play after the Summer Olympics break, Clark has been in top form, helping the Fever secure two consecutive wins. She put up 29 points in a 98-89 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on August 16 and followed that with a 23-point performance against the Seattle Storm. Additionally, Clark recently set the rookie record for most assists in a single season, further solidifying her stellar debut year.
Through 28 games, Clark is averaging an impressive 17.8 points and 8.3 assists, proving that her star power extends both on and off the court. The custom chain, a gift from a supportive teammate, is just another symbol of her growing influence in the league.
