Danielle Collins’ Rage Boils Over as She Lashes Out at Bunch of Noisy Fans Before Shock Loss at WTA Monterrey
Are fans getting too disruptive at tennis matches, or should players like Collins toughen up?
Danielle Collins is known for her electrifying tennis, but she’s more popular for her fiery and competitive nature on the court. She loves to settle things then and there and of course, she isn’t afraid of speaking her mind! It’s better for the fans to stay away when she’s in a bad mood and guess what? Today was just a bad day in the office for the 30-year-old American tennis star. She was defeated by Erika Andreeva in a three-set thriller in the R16 of the Monterrey Open. However, more than her defeat, Collins’ furious reply to the fans during the match has now started to make the headlines.
The score was 1-6,6-3,4-3 in favor of Andreeva and the Russian was 40-0 up in that game. Then suddenly when Andreeva was going to serve a group of people in the crowd made loud noises. Clearly, Collins wasn’t too pleased with this, and quite rightly she raised her voice against this addressing those group of people in the crowd.
Interestingly, both the players have had issues with the same group of people in this match, but as we know, Collins never takes a step back when it comes to expressing her voice. She yelled, “What in the world? I don’t get it. It’s not that hard to let us play tennis and be supportive.” Collins loves to take on whoever comes her way!
