Eligibility Criteria for University of Calgary Scholarships for International Students
To be eligible to be eligible for University of Calgary Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Energizing Canada International Entrance Scholarship:
- Each year, the program is offered to an international student who is entering their into their first year of an undergraduate program offered by the University of Calgary. Renewable during the third and fourth years of the University of Calgary, provided the recipient has the minimum GPA that is 3.00 over at least 24.00 units during the preceding term, which includes winter and fall terms.
- Academic merit
- Financial need
- Have graduated from an accredited primary school or high school located in China including Hong Kong and Macau
- Priority given to students who are entering in the Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Health Sciences, or Bachelor of Arts – Urban Studies program.
University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship:
- The program is offered annually to undergraduate international students enrolled in their first year of any undergraduate degree during the fall term to meet requirements of the University’s English Language Proficiency requirement. Renewable during the second, third and fourth years in the University of Calgary, provided applicants have an GPA at 2.60 or greater in a minimum of 24.00 units in the preceding winter and fall terms, and keep paying the international difference tuition charge as students from abroad.

- Start your application. Start by registering your UCalgary ID.

- Complete your application, and pay your one-time fee of $145.

- Log in to your Student Center within your myUofC portal.
- On the Student Center, click on the “My Financials” page.
- Go to Awards and Scholarships section. Then click the link “Apply for Undergraduate Awards”. Check that pop-ups are on. If popups are not enabled, the site will not load.
- A pop-up window will appear in your browser with all running applications, as well as those that recently ended. Be aware of the Application Open and Application Deadline dates.
